Find Design in What You Eat @ Din Tai Fung Restaurant

The other day it just hit me that “Finding Design in Your Everyday” is not just about design that we see and experience in art or inanimate objects, but we also find design in what we eat. Design in what we eat is not only the restaurant’s fixtures and furniture but the combination of everything in the restaurant including the appearance of the food.

Think about it. If you’re served food that’s unappealing, you’re less likely going to eat it or believe that it tastes good.

One of our favorite restaurants where the food not only always looks delicious but also our recommendation for the best soup dumplings is Din Tai Fung Chinese Restaurant, located at 1108 S. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia, California 91007.

As a warning, this restaurant is always crowded and doesn’t take reservations. The wait is about an hour. There are also two separate restaurant locations behind each other.

As you walk in, you’re greeted by their host who always seems to be smiling…

Let’s start by mixing our own dipping sauce…

A bowl of noodles is always a favorite of ours…

Another recommendation of ours is the green beans…

The shrimp dumplings are unbelievable…

And our top favorite here are the soup dumplings! These you can’t skip!

Be careful, each dumpling is filled with hot and flavorful soup…

As perfect as they look, once you have one, you just can’t stop…

Yes, this is Din Tai Fung and one of our favorite Chinese restaurants for dumplings. We highly recommend it if you love soup dumplings. Not only does the food look appealing, it’s sooo delicious!

“Find Design in Your Everyday”… even in the food you eat and restaurants you visit.

I love this place! Their dumplings are so juicy n tasty. Never thought much about design in food but now I’m going to pay more attention.

I was just here Saturday night possibly siinttg at the same table you guys are at here. Had about two trays of the veggie dumplings and mixed vegetables. Although now I’m going to avoid this place because I am convinced it’s cursed cause the craziest shit went down right after.
